If they don't want to take Peter Capaldi away from the series, and they don't want to have a new doctor in it, why not take things in the other direction and have David Bradley reprise the role he did in "An Adventure in Space and Time"? Most of Hartnell's episodes are still lost so they wouldn't have to worry about anything getting retconned and it would be a great way to introduce people who've only seen nu-Who to the classic series.
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-HdZh5N2xHpk/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAADs/Ixccv-l9Hdk/photo.jpg?sz=64
+lstcloud All of the lost Hartnell episodes are viewable as reconstructions with full audio, surviving clips and images. So the fact that any are lost has no effect on whether anything would be retconned or not. Also, it's not most. Less than 1/3 (28%) of William Hartnell's episodes are missing.

Weekly ... weekly?! Someone thinks Doctor Who is a weekly show?
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-HdZh5N2xHpk/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAADs/Ixccv-l9Hdk/photo.jpg?sz=64
+David Devine Doctor Who is a weekly show. When it is on it airs once per week.

They could do a movie about the Doctor degenerating into a younger version (Matt perhaps), that way they could have Peter Capaldi come in to film 1/2 scenes, whilst the other Doctor could easily be in the rest of the movie and then we could have both a series and a movie. Of course Matt would regenerate back into Peter (Or whoever is chosen) Alternatively, Steven Moffat could try to find the next actor to play the Doctor and get a film made whilst the series is running with Peter in the role. Then when Peter decides to leave, they can release the film, whilst still being able to film the new Doctor's first series. Problem solved!
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-c9mrZW2TcCo/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAGk/1u0tRgU5aHY/photo.jpg?sz=64
So they could do half a series and a movie

+MadAnnoyingShows Not really because it's not just a matter of having the people available, it's the money involved. It's unlikely that the BBC would be able to fund a big budget movie and a whole series in the same year.
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-XOa9GLF4UJo/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAABU/3-_nBfc-fuQ/photo.jpg?sz=64
The only way I could see a movie working is when they decide they don't want to make Doctor Who anymore, finish the Series (series in American terms, not British, just so there is no confusion) and then make the film as the final adventure and the possible perma-death of the Doctor (maybe with the subtitle "Death of the Doctor" or "End of the Doctor") just to end the story (maybe even reveal all the secrets still in the show, like the Doctors true name). Make it like a 2-3 hour final episode with a bigger budget, a bit more freedom, better effects than can be done on a show, etc. Then Wide Release it in Theatres and publish the DVD for all to see.

+Cryer24597 I'm not obsessed with this subject at all, I'm simply responding to things you are saying to get my point across, which seems as though it hasn't worked. I'm not failing to accept fault, I've done so in previous comments with the whole "this seems to have been caused by a bunch of misunderstandings and such thing" I'm blaming myself and accepting fault there, whether you choose to see it as that or not is up to you, but I have accepted fault. You are correct, I'm not a psychologist, nor do I claim to be, I'm just putting in my two cents if you will. I'm not easily offended by internet comments, I'm offended by internet comments that come off as and give the impression of being offensive, if it didn't come off as being offensive to me then this wouldn't have happened in the way It did and such. What sort of work are you doing? I'm not taking this much too seriously at all, What made it come across as such? I know you are a stranger to me (I even say so in the previous comment but I guess you must have missed that), you couldn't care less because as I said you always want to be right, and now you are trying to defend yourself on how you are always right. I'm sure others can see that too, just none have spoken up out of fear of you going off on them too. You have less than favorable views of me because of misunderstandings that got blown out of proportion. As for your facts thing, I've been saying this the entire time but you've not been paying much attention to it for some reason while you didn't mean for it to be insulting and such, and I've recognized that in previous comments, I did not assume it was insulting, the aggression, tone, wording, and structure of the comment came off as insulting even though you didn't mean for it to. If you had worded it differently, been less aggressive, structured your points differently and/or gave it a different tone this may not have gotten into this big thing that it is now, as I've said before just watch how you say things and such (and I also said in the comment before this along with the misunderstanding thing that I know I am not the best at wording things either and such, and that I am trying to work on it, which also is supposed to act as me accepting blame as well), and I also stated before that I insulted you because I felt as though you insulted me (for the reasons I stated above and numerous times before), if I hadn't felt insulted, I wouldn't have insulted you. And all the insults came out of misunderstandings as I've said numerous times before as well but you also didn't recognize. The only reason to continue it is to get it settled for good, possibly somehow end on good or at least better terms, both agree on every point we both made, etc.
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-HdZh5N2xHpk/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAADs/Ixccv-l9Hdk/photo.jpg?sz=64
+lordofninjas1 Please.... I'm getting bored by your obsession with this subject. You still are failing to accept that you were also at fault and therefore there is nothing more for me to say to you. You are not a psychologist, just a highly strung individual who takes offense very easily from internet comments.I only continued this conversation because it was a mild distraction from the work I'm doing but you seem to now be taking this much too seriously. You need to understand that you are a stranger to me, I honestly couldn't care less about your opinions of me or my comments. I have a less than favourable view of you and the way you have conducted this discussion as well. Here are the facts:I was overly aggressive with my initial comment. However, I was not insulting towards you directly, only towards your views. Then you assumed I was insulting you for some reason and you decided to directly insult me. Then I responded in kind. That is pretty much all that has happened here.Is there really any point in continuing this? Because it just seems like a colossal waste of keyboard use so far.
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-XOa9GLF4UJo/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAABU/3-_nBfc-fuQ/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Cryer24597 no I don't expect you to put in my opinion after every single thing, just word it better to where it seems more applicable to the whole comment rather than just parts (maybe a couple more like one at the beginning).Again I refer you to previous comments, you may not have felt you wrote it as insulting or meant it to be insulting, but unfortunately that's how it came across, you May have not used insults, but just the comment itself gave off an angry, insulting vibe, it's as I said before of how you word things and structure your sentences and such that makes it come across as such, so you need to watch that a bit more to get your ideas across a bit more clearly in the way you want. And also again, I'm petulant for insulting you based on me not interpreting your comments the way you want me to?, while you've been trying to show that you don't, unfortunately that comes across as you "wanting things your way because it's the only right way and everyone else is automatically wrong", you May not want it to, but that is how it comes across, so tell me exactly in your mind how is That justified in any sort of anything? My reaction was only based on how your comment came across, as I also said in a previous comment, if you had worded or structured your comment differently or whatever it may have gone down differently, it's uncalled for based on how you feel you meant your comment to be, yes, however as I also said before not everyone is going to interpret it the same way as you no matter what, it's just how humans work, so while it's uncalled for based on how you feel you meant your comment to come across, because of the different interpretation and feeling it gave off to someone else it unfortunately felt as though it was called for based on that. You feel as though you didn't make it seem as though you insulted me, however that's how it came across to me, whether you meant it to or not, that is what happened and that is how it came across, and again referring back to a previous sentence in this very same comment block, people are going to interpret the comment in a multitude of different ways, you can't guarantee that someone will come across and interpret the comment the way you want it to be, it's likely that someone will, however it's just as likely that someone will not (refers back to previous comments about you not being willing to accept any point of view and such that differs from your own and such), actually I have extremely high and good self reflection.I feel as though you need to work on how you word things and structure your sentences and such, and also work on not coming across as "I'm the only one that is right and anything you say against me is automatically wrong because I feel as though I am always right no matter what" you have that feeling exuding from you, which is partially why the comments went the way you did, I'm not sure if you were bullied as a child or abused by your parents or whatever but it feels as though something tragic like that happened in your past where you had no control and now that you are older you want all the power and all the control and don't want to go back to that time of the tragic event where you were feeling powerless. In other words what I'm saying is that you are coming across as a bit of a control freak, you may not want to, but that's how it's been coming across in the comments (not meaning that as an insult by the way, just pure observation), so you maybe need to work on that a bit, I'm not sure if you see that in yourself, but in the eyes of someone who doesn't know you that's what it's coming across as. If I was a bystander and heard you saying these things in the way that you do to someone else, whether it be irl or on the internet, I would probably think you have some control and power issues. I'm sure if I met you in different circumstances or irl you wouldn't seem like this at all. In other words I feel as though you probably are a truely kind hearted individual who may be a bit overprotective when it comes to there television shows, but passionate nonetheless, but the way your comments come across don't make it seem like that at all. That's what I feel as though you need to work on.As I've been saying for a while now, this seems to just be caused by misunderstandings/misinterpretations of each others comments and such based on how we both word things, I know I'm not the best at it either, but I'm at least trying to work on it.
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-HdZh5N2xHpk/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAADs/Ixccv-l9Hdk/photo.jpg?sz=64
+lordofninjas1 Also, I have no desire to "make amends" with someone who is unwilling to accept their own faults and the part they played (and continue to play, with further insults) in this misunderstanding. I hope you understand that :)
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-HdZh5N2xHpk/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAADs/Ixccv-l9Hdk/photo.jpg?sz=64
+lordofninjas1 Refer to my previous comment. You seriously expect me to write "in my opinion " after every single thing I say? I used the phrases "I think" and "in my opinion" enough to make it obvious that I was talking about my views.  My first comment was in no way insulting towards you. It was simply me expressing the way I feel towards your ideas. You were the one to first use insults. You insulted me based on nothing more than your own, incorrect, interpretation of what I said. Petulant.I understand that I worded my original comment poorly but your reaction was still uncalled for. I apologise for the anger I expressed in my original comment. It's a shame that you think I insulted you first because I didn't and anyone looking back at the comments can see that clearly. Again, you have very poor self-reflection and I hope you work on that in the future
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-XOa9GLF4UJo/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAABU/3-_nBfc-fuQ/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Cryer24597 You actually only used in my opinion for certain things in the comments, not for the comments as a whole. You did not use in my opinion for calling them terrible ideas, you just simply said terrible ideas and treated my ideas and opinions as though they didn't matter and acted as though yours were the only correct ones (and don't go back and try to edit your comment to say that just to make yourself look good, cause it marks the comments as edited and such), also you may not have outright said any of that, but the tone, wording, and sentence and paragraph structure made it come across as such (watch how you say things is basically what I'm saying). What you wrote you believe should come across one way, however you have to understand that not everyone in the world is like you and will interpret things differently no matter what... I'm petulant because I didn't interpret your comments the way you wanted me to? How exactly is that right in any way, shape, or form?Actually you went off on me from the beginning. The very first comment you said to me, and most comments since then have you going off about different things I say and such, (whether it's just because you misinterpreted it or are just generally an angry person, I'm not sure). I am actually very self reflective, maybe you are the one who needs to do so, you seem very angry (and possibly just a very angry person in general, but that doesn't really matter right now) in the first comment because I say something That you didn't like (maybe something that you thought demeaned the show in some way or something), I understand you feel very protective of the show, and that's fine, but that's no reason to go off on people for saying something you don't like (trust me, I've been through similar situations, I get it). I called you selfish because in my interpretation of what you were saying, you were being selfish, if I had interpreted it a different way or you used different wording or such that may not have happened. And Also because I felt as though you were angry for no good reason and that in turn got me angry. In other words I insulted you because I felt as though you insulted me.As I said before, it seems as though most of what has happened here was caused by misinterpretation/misunderstanding on both of our ends. I'm kinda doubting it, but if you'd want to make amends or something because of that, I'm willing to.
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-HdZh5N2xHpk/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAADs/Ixccv-l9Hdk/photo.jpg?sz=64
+lordofninjas1"I called you selfish because you weren't willing to see other just as valid points of view and were acting as though yours was the only idea that actually counted and actually mattered and the only one that could ever be right ever, without taking the opinions of others or realistic feelings that creators could have into account"I would like you to substantiate that, please.I never once said that your opinions or ideas didn't matter. All I said was that in my opinion they are terrible ideas. I never said that they didn't matter or that my opinions were facts or that my opinions were better than yours. If you are going to bad-mouth me then back it up. Substantiate the statement you just made."That's the way it came across to me based on how you structured your sentences and paragraphs and how you worded things and such, that may not be how you wanted it to come across, but that is how it came across.".... Well I'm very sorry about that but to be quite honest that is down to your interpretation. How you thought what I said came across is a whole different kettle of fish to what I actually wrote. You calling me "selfish" on the basis of your own interpretation is a bit petulant, in my opinion."I've been trying to be nice and polite this entire time, while you just went off on me because I have a difference of opinion"... Again, back up that statement please. I only "went off" on you after you started calling me selfish for no good reason. Please try to get some self reflection.
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-XOa9GLF4UJo/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAABU/3-_nBfc-fuQ/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Cryer24597 Well thank you for giving me that quote from Moffat. However just because someone believes something, doesn't mean that that is actually the case or what is actually true or what actually happens.I wasn't saying you were selfish because you have a different opinion than me (you really need to go back and read my comments properly and thoroughly, you'll notice I say that your idea is just as valid as mine multiple times), I never said your idea was wrong or that it wasn't possible, all I said was basically "hey, your opinion is good but there is also this other opinion that is just as likely and just as valid as well and you should look at it too" I called you selfish because you weren't willing to see other just as valid points of view and were acting as though yours was the only idea that actually counted and actually mattered and the only one that could ever be right ever, without taking the opinions of others or realistic feelings that creators could have into account, you wanted it only your way and any other way couldn't possibly happen and would automatically be wrong and bad, you want it to last forever because it's your favorite show and because a creator says he thinks it could (notice the words believe and could, showing that even he sees that what you are saying is valid, but that what I've been saying is also just as valid, in other words he feels that it could go on forever, but that the just as valid and just as correct possibility is there for it to not) but again not take into account that the show may not be around forever and the creators May not want to do it forever, you only want to please yourself and see only yourself as right, you want the creators to slave away making episodes of the show for you for all eternity without the possibility of a break or the possibility for them to move on to do something else even if they want to because you purposely or accidentally twisted or misunderstood what a creator of the show said, thus acting as though you were selfish. That's the way it came across to me based on how you structured your sentences and paragraphs and how you worded things and such, that may not be how you wanted it to come across, but that is how it came across.I never once said you were wrong, I was just simply opening your eyes to other possibilities, you are the only one here who has been saying that my opinions are wrong and bad while I was simply trying to show you the just as likely possibility that it may not happen in the way you think or would want to while trying to defend myself from your "I'm the only one that can possibly be right because it's my favorite show and I know everything about It and am the only one that can be right about the show" feelings that came through from your comments. I've been trying to be nice and polite this entire time, while you just went off on me because I have a difference of opinion than you and you are the only one that can possibly be right. Just to let you know, I love the show, and while the possibility is there that it could last forever the just as likely and just as valid possibility of it ending also exists, and whether or not all the mysteries will be solved is unknown, it would make sense for all the mysteries to be uncovered by the end but there is the possibility that they May not. The possibility of all the mysteries being revealed could ruin the show, but there is also the just as correct and just as valid possibility that it may not That's all I've been trying to say this entire time, but it came across as though you weren't accepting of the other possibilities, and that you felt you were the only correct one, which is why this went on as long as it did. You do need to learn to be more accepting of other opinions as I am. It seems there may have been a lot of misunderstanding going on here, which is why it got as heated as it did.
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-HdZh5N2xHpk/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAADs/Ixccv-l9Hdk/photo.jpg?sz=64
+lordofninjas1"I truly believe it is a show that could outlive everyone in this room. I truly believe that. The TV show is the mother ship of Doctor Who and it will go on forever" - Steven Moffat, Executive Producer (showrunner)"Which perspective do you want me to get exactly?" One where you don't label others as "selfish" just because they have a different opinion to you. Goodbye.
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-XOa9GLF4UJo/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAABU/3-_nBfc-fuQ/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Cryer24597 excuse me, I am not on any form of high horse, you sir are the one on the high horse.I understand we both have differing views of the show and how it should continue, I never said we didnt, and I never once said or implied that my view is better, nor do I think my view is better than yours, I was actually trying to show you that there are other options that you clearly didn't recognize (not saying any were right or wrong, just that simply the possibility exists for them to be there as well) because you were blinded by your selfishness and such, at least that's how it came across by your wording and such. Your the one that needs to get a grip. When did the creators state that it could go on forever? I am not single minded, go back and read my comment, I never once say you are wrong, I am simply trying to get through to you that There are other ways that it can end whether you want it to or not, but you obviously didn't recognize that, hell I even say that your ideas are just as likely as mine (but you clearly didn't see that or misinterpreted it), multiple times in fact, how the hell is That being single minded? I'm not obsessed with it coming to a final end, it's just the way things happen in the world, everything ends eventually, that's reality, not obsession. What I meant by "creators of the show" are the people who are currently creating the show, the ones working on it now, I apologize if that confused You. A lot of shows have become bigger than there creators, it's not an uncommon thing. The Last Airbender series (I'm counting Korra in there too) lends itself to rebirth and reincarnation as well (hell like doctor who rebirth and reincarnation are a big thing in the series itself), and it has a permanent end (the people who made the show got tired of making it and wanted to move on to do other things), and that series was huge as well. You are correct, they could have ended it before if they wanted to. I'm fine that they brought it back. But again, if they wanted to end it then, they could have, it would have been fine, It was on for like 20-30 years, and I know I would get tired of doing the same thing for that long, and I'm sure that that will eventually happen to the people on it now, they'll get tired of making it and move on. If they hadn't brought it back I'd be ok with that too, because I understand that everything ends, it's just when will it end is unknown. Either way wouldn't have bothered me.And as I've said multiple times before, I too recognize that what you say can happen (even in other comments), however unlike you, I'd be ok with either ending that either one of us proposed. Why would It be a terrible decision for BBC to end the show? Many channels have had shows like that and have ended them and they are perfectly fine.Actually, I read your comments properly multiple times in fact, and it actually seems the opposite that you haven't been reading my comments correctly. You said that you feel the Doctor would become less mysterious with his name revealed, I then left that part alone and asked why you feel like he would be less mysterious, different question, in the same line of thinking, in a show with mysteries, it's best to have all the mysteries solved by the ending, just so people don't feel left out or like they were given an incomplete product if you will. And actually, I have gotten most perspectives since I usually try to be neutral and not let my love for things cloud my judgement when looking at perspectives for them, so which perspective do you want me to get exactly?
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-HdZh5N2xHpk/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAADs/Ixccv-l9Hdk/photo.jpg?sz=64
+lordofninjas1 Sorry buddy, but get off your high horse and stop acting like such a pretentious twit.Be both have differing views of this show and how it should continue in the future. Your view is no better, or less "selfish", than mine. Get a grip for god sake. Many of the creators of the show have stated that it has the ability to go on forever and they think that it will. It is the sort of show that has the ability to come back and there is no reason for it to have a final end. Why are you so single minded and obsessed with the show having to come to a final end? It is just your own "selfish" opinion. As for "what the creators would want", the creators of the show are all long dead. The show continues on regardless of what they would have wanted. Doctor Who is bigger than the people who currently make it and any end to the show would almost certainly never be permanent because the show lends itself to rebirth. It has already survived being ended and returned after years of being of the air. They could have made the decision to have a "final end" then but they didn't and so we got another 10 years of superb television. Would you rather that hadn't happened just because they decided to end it back then?I recognise that what you say could possibly happen but I don't think it should and I think it would be a  terrible decision for the BBC to permanently kill the most successful thing they have ever made.I have explained why I think that revealing the Doctor's name would be an awful idea but considering your attitude I doubt you've even read my comments properly. Please get some perspective.
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-XOa9GLF4UJo/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAABU/3-_nBfc-fuQ/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Cryer24597 I understand you are an extremely vocal and protective fan of the series, but unfortunately the way things work in this world there has to be some kind of ending. Why in your mind does It have no need to end? What if they don't need to stop the show, what if they want to?, entirely different can of worms. Also, what if they end it and don't want to go back to it, while I understand you as a fan don't want your series to end and want it to go on forever, but what if they feel that they don't want to make the show anymore and don't want it to continue after they are done, unfortunately you have to go with and think of what the creators would want, despite your own selfish reasons. I don't think it'll go on forever, people get tired of things eventually, whether it be creating it or watching it, not meaning to be rude, but that's the unfortunate truth. Why in your mind does it have no reason for it not to continue forever?Actually, to have a final episode would be very sane, its just your selfish fan want to keep it on forever that makes it seem insane. Also, don't you think openendedness would piss off a lot of people? Him continuing on with his adventures is a possibility, but you also have to recognize that my suggestions are also a just as likely because that's the truth. Why would the doctor not feel as mysterious if you new his name? we already know a lot of his past, so that wouldn't change much. All it would change is that we knew his name, which is the last mystery to be solved. Why in your opinion do you feel its one of the worst ideas you ever heard?I'd highly recommend you to set aside your vocal, selfish, and protective fanness, if that's even possible, when you read these comments, it's clouding your judgement to seeing other just as likely possibilities. Whether you like it or not or agree with it or not, both of what we proposed could happen and both have a high chance of happening. I understand as a child that you want your favorite show or favorite thing to last forever, but unfortunately that cannot be the case, that's just how things work in this world.
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-HdZh5N2xHpk/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAADs/Ixccv-l9Hdk/photo.jpg?sz=64
+lordofninjas1 I would not propose that Doctor Who should end. It has no need to end. If they ever need to stop making the show then they should stop it in a way that means it can come back later. It is one of the only shows in existence that has the ability to go on forever and there is no reason for it not to.If there had to be a "final episode", for whatever insane reason, then they should leave it open ended and imply that the Doctor continues on his adventures after the end of the show.I think revealing his name is a truly awful, awful idea. It would undermine the mystery because whenever you went back to watch previous episodes the Doctor wouldn't feel as mysterious if you knew about his past or his name. In my opinion it really is one of the worst ideas I have ever heard, I'm not even exaggerating.
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-XOa9GLF4UJo/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAABU/3-_nBfc-fuQ/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Cryer24597 first off, you don't know how it will and won't end, you don't want it to end like that, but the possibility is there for it to do so. Everything has to end at some point, so I doubt it'll be on forever. Also, like many before you, you missed a key word with the doctors name thing, that word is maybe, in other words the possibility is there for it to happen but whether it will or not has yet to be seen. Also, in a final episode you'd want all mysteries revealed right (of any show), how would it undermine everything? If you think my idea is bad how would you propose that Doctor Who end?
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-HdZh5N2xHpk/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAADs/Ixccv-l9Hdk/photo.jpg?sz=64
+lordofninjas1 Doctor Who will never end like that. It would be an awful idea to end it. Doctor Who has the potential to go on forever and the BBC would have to be out of their minds to make a final end. Also, revealing the Doctor's name would not only be a horrible decision but would also undermine everything that had come before and would ruin all the mystery about the Doctor's character. That is one of the worst ideas I have ever heard, honestly.

+Cryogenic Gaming that might be interesting. I also agree, I'd be surprised if they did another 12 Doctors (since Capaldi is 1st of the 13 new ones), I'd say we May get a 60th and possibly 70th anniversary, but I don't think it'll go much past that. As for your idea, it's interesting, however the way you worded it has me a bit confused, "weird stuff starts happening", in a show like this weird stuff happens all the time, what were you meaning by that? If they have him retire, they would have to make sure that they did it in a way to where it's a definite end and there isn't really much to go on from after that (like he would have to lose or give up all his regenerations and have no chance of getting another set, the tardis is irrepairably damaged or destroyed with no way to get another one, maybe have the Silence erase the memories of ever being the Doctor or erase the memories from everyone of the Doctor ever existing or something, etc.) which is why I said death, the most definite of endings. Although I think It would be an honorable death, like him saving the universe or time itself or something (possibly joining with it), and hope that it's not some generic death or whatever where he gets blasted by a Dalek or whatever. Either way it would likely have to be the definite end to the series.

Yeah I agree and I definitely don't think they should keep going until all his new regenerations are up. I have a personal idea on how it should end. Weird stuff starts happening to the doctor because time lords only get 13 regenerations for a reason. We don't know the reason but near the end it could be revealed and the doctor will have to "retire" because if he keeps going something really bad will happen. Or he just dies. Something like that.

The scene in the trailer where she said "What took you so long old man?" makes me think the Doctor's Daughter.
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-uuib5Whkq_E/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAC0/H7hQxa_hAp8/photo.jpg?sz=64
Or it could be Susan, the Doctor's granddaughter who he told he would come back for someday.
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-TJl5oZi3Jss/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAABE/aFvn5u5JIN8/photo.jpg?sz=64
My guess (well, more of a hope than a guess, I suppose) is that she's going to be playing Susan Foreman, aka the Doctor's granddaughter and very first Companion
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-n5ZPYzL_Ktk/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAACY/fNU00TKUx8g/photo.jpg?sz=64
+SilverStrumer I checked online and they say she IS an actual Time Lord from gallifrey, so keeping that in mind she SHOULD be able to regenerate. He also left her which means she might still be alive, it was sort of left open.
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-TJl5oZi3Jss/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAABE/aFvn5u5JIN8/photo.jpg?sz=64
I honestly don't know enough about the original Doctor Who to really dispute that, but I will say it wouldn't be the first retcon that the new Doctor Who has made, for better or worse
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-brL5cUgom3s/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAG8/an-ftZ2GzzM/photo.jpg?sz=64
But isn't she..old by now? Some Whovians said that she's not a Time Lord like her grandpa therefore she can't regenerate

+The_Creed I think you mean badass . . . It would be really badass
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
Yes, but IGN is retarded and probably thinks that it will be the young stark in the show
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
No, I'm pretty sure they mean Maisie Williams. It would be REALLY bizarre if Arya Stark of Winterfell made an appearance on Dr. Who.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
I think they mean her character is who she will be in the show

Have you guys watched "It Follows"? Scarier monster, because not only is it relentless, it takes the appearance of someone you know and you'll never know who.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Joey Angotti *family show actually. The monster can't be too scary that it traumatizes kids, but it has to be interesting and scary enough to keep the older kids ;), entertained. That's what I think anyways. I've never seen It Follows btw...don't want too. I'll keep the Veil.
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-has7dzIHqPw/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAA4/zAf6UnrVYbU/photo.jpg?sz=64
Yes but that is a horror movie and this is a kids show

with out a doubt last night's episode has to be the best episode of Dr who since its return in 2005! I mean it ticked every box sat watching it with my 8 year old son I was holding my hands over his eyes in some parts it took me right back to being a child myself. I do hope that Peter Capaldi stays on as the doctor for me he has now surpassed Tom baker (my doctor) or David Tennant ( my favourite ) IMO. Stephen moffats writing and storytelling to me has never been as good as this whole series, there have been previous series with Matt smith were ive been disappointed but now wow! well if he is due to step down please let him write another series or two! Thank you. a true who fan very pleased!

+manzilla48 More brain cells in the right places, then. Shrug. It doesn't matter to me.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-dcmaAQjIDA0/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAA0/2hqKo5eCvss/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Nicole Song so many middle class fascists like yourself are in this fanbase these days. Just because I have a different opinion to you I need more brain cells. What a stupid comment, ice sat through plenty of slow paced classic who and still enjoyed it. This was dull.
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-Zi-WT56v9bw/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAADs/BZlJDgdRiN0/photo.jpg?sz=64
+manzilla48 This is your opinion, and unless you get a higher attention span and more brain cells you're not going to enjoy Moffat Who.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-dcmaAQjIDA0/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAA0/2hqKo5eCvss/photo.jpg?sz=64
It was incredibly boring and was really just capaldi muttering to himself
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-TZ32DBUcAQY/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAmw/RY-4nM-w6do/photo.jpg?sz=64
if that monster was from the doctors nightmare as a child what if it was clara. he did grab his leg under his bed at listen
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-HPUhYvx18v0/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAATY/wprTe4-fM2I/photo.jpg?sz=64
+DrAvocadoChicken The Doctor says it was based off a dead woman he saw covered in sheets on a hot day, she attracted flies.I'd be willing to accept though that the thing the doctor is thinking of during listen is based off this creature as well as clara's encounter with him.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Th9MNDLy21s/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAADs/xD_ZqyM6_UM/photo.jpg?sz=64
And the monster in Danny pinks room was under the covers and we never saw its face.

If the rooms reset why didn't the Diamond wall?
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/--_x7aQ2-FD4/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAARI/PF5cdNczdjw/photo.jpg?sz=64
+The8thDOCTOR Because it's the Doctor's confession dial. He doesn't reset, only the rooms do, but not the things he does that are independent of the dial itself; his wet clothes don't reset, the painting of clara doesn't reset, the cement tile that says "I'm in 12" doesn't reset and neither does the writing of the word "Bird" in the transporter room. All things the Doctor himself did/changed inside the confession dial, so maybe the food that he eats also may not reset. Besides this, the diamond wall is a portal to Gallifray so it wouldn't make sense if it reseted. Oh and the Doctor resetting himself is also independent of the dial because again, he did it himself. Also, the 2 billion years he spent there weren't actual years, per se; since again, he was inside his confession dial in a different and pocket dimension or universe.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
Yeah, he was supposed to give up and reveal the identity of the hybrid when he got to the diamond wall, but he outsmarted the designers and kept slowly chipping away at it, which they didn't anticipate. Also, the painting of Clara was so old because he/it had been there so long, or perhaps it was always meant to look old, hence why it always looks old when the rooms reset.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
+The8thDOCTOR that one didn't make much sense. Doctor who isn't always perfect, but we always love it
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-jSSU3SZIrm0/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAKY/nVzNWyChKbk/photo.jpg?sz=64
and the painting of Clara?
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-Kyp8v_xjPWE/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAIE/zfdE-dIxJoY/photo.jpg?sz=64
because he was never meant to go there more than once. the designers thought he'd just give up.
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-e-VyZ4hE_N0/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAALQ/pvb0CNzTotI/photo.jpg?sz=64
+The8thDOCTOR Because it is THE diamond wall
