It is hard to attribute diseases and maladies directly to environmental toxins in general, i.e., cause and effect. Such as blame the 'Heart lesions, severe shrinking in part of brain, nervous system failure (VIDEO) on toxins.' However, remember the so-called 'Chernobyl Heart' associations of intake of cesium (10 becquerels per day) and heart lesions in contaminated areas, which now can include our Fukushima cesium-contaminated (plus all the other possible radionuclides being released every day in those 400 tons of radioactive water) Pacific Ocean and the sea animals there getting their hearts affected. The levels for irreversible heart damage were 50 becquerels per kilogram of body weight. According to the Chernobyl/Byelorus studies if one chronically takes in 10 becquerels of cesium per day (e.g., in a radioactively contaminated environment) after three years that level may be reached in a child of 25 kilograms. This would/could be correlated with sea life, but for scientific verification, a study could and should be done. In humans, potassium is the most plentiful electrolyte inside the cells. Substitute cesium for potassium in so many cells...and just about anything bad can probably happen in any of our (or a non-human animal's) cells or organs made up of those contaminated cells.

I enjoy catching up with the Japan situation on your channel. I feel isolated in my awareness of the situation at hand. When I attempt to share info with coworkers and even family they listen "politely" but I can tell they are dismissive. I am horrified by the indifference people have towards global crisis - I have urged close family to look at Helen Caldicott - Kaku - Gundersen - anyone that's speaking out with credentials and they just could give a rats ass.

why do people with common plant problems immediately jump to genetically modified and radiation... you do know that the tomato is basically a ball of plant food for the seeds inside it. The seeds have a gel around them that prevents them from germinating. The tomato was either over-fertilized, picked before the gel developed and then ripened indoors, or your soil is so poor the gel couldn't form completely, or took enough direct sunlight to kick off the seeds...
