you just dont get it, but when i say she's a cute white bitch... +Dan Fray The gliding behavior already exist in lots of arboreal animals. Non-gliding squirrels and cats stretch out their bodies when falling long distances so that their fur catches the air and slows the fall. The addition of a small membrane would make the behavior more effective.

the same way squirrels survive.  there are regular squirrels, and "flying" squirrels.  when they had little to no membranes, they werent gliding across long distances between trees, but just jumping the same way regular squirrels do.  over time, the membranes got bigger, so that each successive generation could jump to trees/branches slightly further away.

Those animals should be flying in the wilderness not in an artificial enviroment like this.

Yes you can. It's been done by owners all over. You can't train them to go to a litter box. But you don't train cats to either, it's a natural instinct to bury their waste as a means to hide from predators. You simply provide the medium they naturally use. You get your glider and stimulate it's genitals so it expels it's contents, a natural response from mating. They do their business before getting to business lol. You trigger this the same as you trigger a yawn in a human being. It's just a built in reaction. Gliders being an intelligent marsupial will be keen to the training. So yes they potty train if you spend enough time with them.
